February Reminder!

Hi everyone! 

Wow, February has flown by, and with it there have been a flock of new dapperlings signing up to back me on Patreon. 

… flock? A flock of dapperlings? Hmm. Is that the right word? Are we birds? Maybe it would be more of a D sounding word? Maybe a dazzle of dapperlings? Or a drove of dapperlings? Maybe something more draconic like a hoard of dapperlings?

Anyway... a lot of dapperlings have joined up! And since the end of the month is rapidly approaching I wanted to remind everyone of my previous post regarding the end-slate name list. If you're happy with me using your name as it appears on your Patreon profile, then you don't need to do anything. But if, for example, you've used your real name on Patreon or you simply have a very different name on YouTube and don't want people to be confused, then you can head over here (https://www.patreon.com/posts/end-slate-names-16924325) and post the name you'd like me to use instead in the comments.

I will be updating the name list once a month, and generally around the end of the first week of the month, so Patreon has enough time to send out notifications to people if there's any issue with payments. On the note of payment issues though, as I've seen a few people's payments default over the last few months I've had Patreon active, I just want to stress that if you're ever feeling like your finances are a little tight, either temporarily or overall, I would genuinely be upset to learn that you were doing something silly like pledging to support me when you weren't even sure you could support yourself! 

As much as I appreciate the sentiment, I would much prefer you take care of yourselves than stretch your bank accounts thin trying to support both of us! So if for any reason, you don't think you can afford to maintain your pledge, don't for a moment feel bad about it, you don't need to explain or offer an apology, we all understand how life can be sometimes. Just cancel or downgrade the pledge and if at a later time you find yourself in a better position and want to pledge again, then you can do that. But take care of yourselves first and foremost! That's as close to an order as I can issue, without actually having any authority over what you do... seriously, please take care of yourselves. I don't say that at the end of every video for my own benefit ya know ;)

Though if you do need to cancel your pledge, and you don't mind popping in a reason (again, there's no obligation!) then filling out the exit survey is super helpful, as it'll let me know if there's any issue I need to be looking into.
