This week's video is going to be a live stream here: https://youtube.com/live/ilJwO-1jftA
Of course it's not possible to find a time that suits everyone, but I hope you can join this one. It's 8:00 pm in the Eastern Time zone in the U.S. (9:00 am Monday for me.)
As such, this week's newsletter will be a bit short because anything I have to say will be in the live stream. But for what it's worth:
It is finally getting cooler here in Osaka, which means I am less restricted in what I can go out and do. (I try to keep my "outside" work to a minimum in the summertime here – inside an express train, fine. Outside wandering the countryside, brutal.) I've got my eye on a couple train lines specifically, including one in Mie Prefecture (I think?) that is another rare narrow-gauge railway.
I did go out and explore a train line a few days ago; Patreon members at the $5/month and higher tiers will be getting an early-access link to that soon after I publish this. That video turned out to be just over an hour in length; the public version is about 32 minutes. One of the more interesting train lines I've seen, I think.
I was sick for a few days last week, but it was never too bad and I got over it within 4-5 days. It came after I spent an evening with a friend wandering around outside chatting for a few hours. Laboring through 15,000 steps in the uncomfortable humidity and then getting sick – a fine goodbye to summer ;)
I'm off to continue working here on this Saturday evening – need to create a thumbnail image for the video I'm about to publish for those Patreon tiers. And then maybe I can listen to music for an hour or so and relax!
I hope to see you for the live stream. Even if you can only tune in for part of it, it will be nice to say hi.
Thanks for reading. Everywhere is worth exzzzzzzzz (snore snore)
