Edison still behaving like a sheltered, spoiled young master, it seems. The smarter move would have been to not hang out so long for all the gossip, and go back to Marin as soon as he found out that Tundra was wanted and that alchemists were declared outlaws by the Prince. As soon as he got back to the room, tell Marin something like "We need to leave immediately, I'll explain as we go, it's an emergency and this is no game. Now run, as fast as you can, don't argue, no delay, let's go." They MIGHT have had a chance at getting away, maybe. Instead, he dawdled, and had feelings time until Marin put two and two together. This trip is going to be quite the learning experience for him, which is often uncomfortable. I wonder if Tundra is going to just take out the sect leader and elders, or if he's going to raze the entire sect to the ground? Him being less aggressive is, after all, a fairly new thing in a life of over 10,000 years. Pretty sure he's done quite a few rescue operations in that time. Thanks for the chapter.
