Dev Update 04/02 - Skatepark Course & New Impact Sounds!
Added 2023-04-03 04:01:30 +0000 UTCI have been working hard creating a brand new course this weekend, Skatepark! I grew up loving the Tony Hawk series and other similar games and always enjoyed the smooth, flowy feeling of gliding and flying up over huge ramps and halfpipes! Hoping I did a good job of capturing that here, at least a bit! As silly as it might seem, I think this map is pretty fun to mess around with even solo :p
I am learning SO MUCH ABOUT MODELING LIKE HOLY FUCK. I've been making all of these models from complete scratch, which is something I've always struggled to get myself to commit to, and I'm admittedly really proud of my lil low-poly skateboard, rails and ramps and stuff in this course~
I also overhauled almost all of the impact sounds with ones I recorded and edited myself. I really like how much more realistic the ball sounds against concrete, metal, plastic, foam, etc than it did. Still some things I need to rework as far as audio goes, but so far I'm happy with the changes!
