Back when I first wrote Akathisia, there was a line I had created that didn't make it into the final song. It was initially about a singular person, though I took the line out to make the full song more about my own inner experience.
The line was:
"I'm asking for warmth from the moon
When I ask for affection from you."
While writing this line, I was thinking about a book I had been read as a child called "To The Moon And Back", and how I felt "left alone on the moon" in some of my relationships - isolated, treated with coldness.
The typography drawing above is from my journal at the time I was writing Akathisia.
