Concept Vote System Changes

I got a chance to round up all the surveys, and I’ve heard this mentioned a few times prior to the surveys as well, and I hear you guys. Loud and clear; so loud it needs remedied asap. I’ve heard and identified some problems with this voting and they are:

1. The small group active on discord is steering the concept choices to be voted on and the rest of the patreon is now picking the lesser of evils.

2. We are continually seeing more concepts that are just consistently losing the polls and taking up space that good concepts get passed over on.

3. We are now voting almost two months away from deliveries and it’s creating confusion.

4. There is a disconnect between Patreon and Tribes voting system, where Patreon gets special treatment of multiple votes vs tribes’ single vote system. 

In order to address these I am rolling out a new way of establishing our monthly voting system. From here out, there will be only one suggestion channel in the discord (#sub-suggestions, formerly known as #patreon-ideas) instead of monthly ones. You may drop in your suggestions and ideas at any point in time during the month, but I will be purging the channel every three months to ensure fresh concepts. 

I will then hand pick the 10 concepts for the month to be voted on. This means no more discord voting behind the scenes to steer the ship. I will be choosing the ideas to ensure we have some concepts you all will enjoy.
 

With the recent move to end of the month deliveries, we’re going to move the voting to the first of the month prior to release month to avoid confusion. E.g. I will release the polls for January on December 1st. 

And lastly, we are going to make the Patreon votes single vote only instead of multiple voting to keep fair with our triber friends. Unfortunately, there is nothing I can do to change Tribes voting system, but I can change Patreon.

So that was a lot of words... TLDR:

• Discord voting is removed and I will be hand choosing concepts.

• There will be minor discord changes.

• Single voting on patreon now.

• Votes will be on the 1st of the month instead of the 20th.

How does this impact me on Patreon? You will see voting crop up at a later date next month, and it will return on the first of every month. Also, you will only have one vote choice per poll.
