2025-02-18 19:56:16 +0000 UTCWestern Canada here- not tons of snow this year, but, wow has it been cold. Several nights of -40c (also -40 in F). That is not unusual here,but, the cold snaps seem longer than normal. It’s hard on the animals- makes for thick hides on the cattle!

Just had +/-6 inches this last weekend and a little cold the last couple days, but yeah, were used to this and prudent people take care in these hard weather circumstances. We're stacking up on more firewood, bottled water and backup electric. Fun fact, solar generators don't like working 110v plugs when it's really cold out. Keep them a little warm if you want them to work when you need them.
