Update!

Hellooo!!! 

Sorry for the long hiatus, I've been dealing with a lot of stuff during the end of last year. I'll just type out what's been going on so we can be as transparent as possible.

So some of you may know that I moved residences in October. That means that I'm no longer in Vancouver so my main Chitchats headquarters is no longer the same as before. This has honestly caused a ton of headache for many reasons. 

1. The driver that comes to pickup my batches does not properly put them int he same area so there has been instances where BOXES of packages that were supposed to be sent out would just sit in their warehouse unsorted??? I'm not sure why this happens as I CLEARLY tell him every time to keep my parcels together. There's absolutely no way I can keep tabs on a thousand orders so it's been an absolute pain to track down orders when emails come in. 

2. Not only that, but they've raised the shipping costs dramatically in the past couple months before the holidays. The shipping import also stopped supporting Partial shipping? That means if I want to ship let's say Banners and a package, I HAVE to ship them at the same time or else the second package won't go out if that makes sense. The import settings just does not allow for partial shipping which is honestly driving me insane to keep track of, considering this affects shipping of deskmats/garage banners/ anything that requires special packaging. 

3. Unrelated to the shipping debacle, but I was literally hospitalized for a week+ at the beginning of the year. I've been dealing with health issues and chronic pain for a long time and it finally exploded on me. I luckily have some appointments with specialists this week so hopefully they can finally fix me (thank god Canada has free healthcare).

I'm trying my best to get back on track with work and managing the emails and stuff, but it's been difficult to say the least. You guys do not know how much I have appreciated your patience with me these past few months. It's been absolutely miserable, but we're moving forward.

That being said, I'm going to offloading fulfillment and emails onto my shipping partner. They will be managing all the inventory and customer services. This will allow things to go out in a timely manner and make time for me to be able to focus on creating and sourcing. 

I'm so sorry that things have been such a shitshow/disappointment since the anniversary drop. I'm trying my best to salvage things, but I'm not really allowed to be at 100% until I solve my health issues. I've currently caught up with emails and will be sending out any outstanding tracking numbers tomorrow. I'm also personally dropping off the parcels tomorrow as I'm a bit paranoid that they will get misplaced again. A little bonus, but all delayed parcels will be stacked with a ton of freebies.

Thank you guys so much for your kind words and emails. I really really appreciate you guys and I really hope things will get better this year. I hope you guys had a great holiday season/Lunar New Year!
