DevDiary 11 - Sounds good!

Dearest Supporters,


This Sunday I wanted to talk a little bit about the coming changes in the 0.1.9 update.
The audio in the game has been a constant pain since the first build due to Unity's limitations in that regard.
While the audio-playing solution worked... somewhat, multiple issues made seemingly easy things, like pumping (you know what I mean) coordination or combining audio from several clips almost impossible.

While those issues were bearable, some users reported not hearing the sound at all, the sound being distorted, and other audio-related issues.

Thankfully, there is a proper solution to those problems, which is FMOD. Currently, I have enough grasp of it to proceed with the whole Audio System rebuild process. You can expect new music, sounds and better audio quality overall, along with some smaller changes to other in-game systems.

Most importantly, I wouldn't be able to even implement FMOD along with all the nice tracks and sounds that I chose without your generous support. I wanted to thank you once again for supporting the project, all of it wouldn't be possible without you.
