Added 2021-08-25 01:42:00 +0000 UTCThis is a pretty simple fix similar to that for Dark Alliance likely made possible by the latest developments of Unreal Engine 4. The related game code was relatively generic, though not exactly matching any of my old patterns.
Microsoft Store only for now but I will do my best to turn it into a Steam / GOG solution as soon as I get access to the Shipping executables of those versions! I will update the post accordingly.
Update: Now there is a patcher for GOG which may also work for the Steam version unless it uses Steamstub DRM, which would require patching out first with Steamless.
Update 2: I received an exe from Steam, which is identical to that of GOG, so the patcher should work for that too!
