Joy was charged with DUI and speding (55 in a 40). On 6/6/2024 she pleaded no contest to reckless driving with alcohol being a significant factor. Adjudication was withheld. She was sentenced to 12 months probation and 50 hours community service, ignition interlock, no alcohol allowed. She was fined $927. On 9/20/2024 a warrant was issued for her arrest for violation of probation. She failed an ignition interlock test at 12:21am on 6/15/2024 with a BAC of 0.037. Her lawyer argued that although she agreed to the plea deal on 6/6/2024, the judgment was not entered until 6/24/2024. Consequently the warrant was recalled. She successfully completed probation on 1/8/2025. The speeding charge was dismissed.
