I actually wrote a snippet a long time ago describing Connor and Markus, along with Jericho crew (Nines was there too), participated in their country's civil war (they didn't know Hank at the time). And then Connor had a vision on the battle field in which he was touched by their gods. In the vision the holy tree (their gods in old religion) took root in Connor's body and grew out silver leaves from his eyes and mouth. After the vision end, Connor officially awoke as an instrument of old gods and single-handedly end the battle. The scene end with Markus walked to him (he's the only one who can directly look at Connor because he's their destined king in the prophecy and stuff LOL). Connor, who's floating in the air and glowing silver light, look Markus in the eye and said in the old religion's language, "King of all kings. Freedom is in your hand." Then he passed out.
Anyway, after another 5 or 6 years they'll meet the famous old warrior Henry Anderson from the north. I also wrote how Hankcon met in the old religion's festival but maybe some other time. :D

I love learning more about your back story for it so much, and the image of Connor sprouting plants from his body after the gods have come to him... it's so beautiful. The differences between that version and the one with the blindfold and veil draping over him are STUNNING. 😍 And I always love how defined you draw their hands... their grip looks so great as they clutch at the air and each other!
