Ah, and so another reading comes to a close! Lemme tell ya, this was a nice, fun story for me to work on. Largely light-hearted, but with plenty of emotional moments near the end. Plus, it made a very strong effort to be scientifically accurate without bombarding the reader with excessive scientific exposition. The parts with Shadow Patrol may have seemed out of place to some, and I can say that I fall into that particular camp, but it was an interesting enough b-plot to go alongside the main one, so at the end of the day, I can't really complain about it.
Now, the time has come for me to work on what comes next.
