As many of you are probably aware, California is on fire right now. This would, ideally, not be much of a hassle for me, given the distances involved. But fate seems to have developed a grudge against me this month, and winds have carried a large amount of the smoke generated from those fires to hover over Washington State, where I live.
So now there is smoke in the air, making everything look sick and muted. Sunlight that breaks through that veil is dimmed and red, especially at sunset where it turns a deep, bloody crimson. The quality of the air has dropped significantly, resulting in a near constant irritation in my throat and lungs. Not to mention that I am fairly sure the smoke is making local temperatures go up somewhat.
So, as a result, I have decided that until the smoke died down to tolerable levels, I will not be holding myself to putting out readings every day. This more or less means that if I can find a good opportunity to get one in without ravaging my throat, I will, but if I can't, I won't.
This is beyond my control everyone, and I am sorry, but I am not willing to take any unnecessary risks when it comes to my voice. So until further notice, readings will not be guaranteed.
I am super sorry for this. Here's to hoping that this smoke clears up soon.
