Fight Club Update #1: Origins

Good evening Just Bleed Gang!!

So its been a bit of a slow start for this one, but ground has been broken! I've written an intro, put together a short intro video (which I've uploaded for you here!), and the first maybe 10 minutes of dialogue is done.

The opening section is on the origins of Street Beefs (the organization, not actual street disputes..) and while I haven't gotten a huge amount of stuff written, I did get slightly ahead of myself and reach out to a few fighters to see if they'd like to be interviewed. I genuinely wasn't expecting this, but Eric "Bloodaxe" Olsen from King of the Streets said yes, and we had a chat this evening. I'm not gonna lie... interviewing a dude who is famous for his fucking eye gouging techniques and posts pictures on Instagram of his collection of human teeth he amassed in unsanctioned fights had me fucking bricking it. I was honestly more nervous than I had been talking to Dan freakin' Severn. But Bloodaxe was a surprisingly chill guy, I mean, as chill as you can get for a guy who just fought on a bridge, in the dead of night, in a no rules unsanctioned fight. We talked about everything from how he perfected his eye gouging technique to his hatred of Trump so yeah, all round nice bloke, A++ no complaints would chat again please don't eye gouge me.

I'm hoping to get a few more interviews with some more well known names, and also with the complete unknowns, to kinda get to see the personalities and motivations of the folks who are willing to compete in these kind of events, whether its the hardcore insanity of King of the Streets or the (comparatively tame) Street Beefs. If they're as half as entertaining as Bloodaxe was, then yeah I think this video should be fairly decent.

Other than that, I don't have a huge amount to tell you, because its still so early on in production!

In other news, the DAZN brand ambassador thing was actually real, I talked to them again this week, but its basically a deal like "if you talk about us we'll give you stuff" so ehhhh. I mean I'll probably take them up on the offer just on the off chance i can get a press pass to Tony Ferguson vs Dillon Danis in a tables ladders and chairs match but that's about it. I'm not going to be shilling DAZN PPV's cause really who is paying for that shit. I'm not, so i know you sure as hell aren't!!

But with that, I'm gonna go do some more editing before bed. I hope you;re all doing well and enjoyed UFC Paris yesterday (I missed most of the main card, but saw the prelims which were shockingly good). I'll catch you all next week!
