Lineal 2 update #3/4

Good evening Gang!

Apologies I missed last weeks update, but as it was UFC 300 weekend, I was dealing with a bit of an MMA hangover after bingeing naught but the finest in fisting action all weekend. I still haven't quite recovered from that Holloway KO to be fully honest. Sweet sufferin Jesus I think I got second hand CTE from that one. Overall 300 was an absolute banger, there were insane KO's, WTF moments, competitive fights and squash matches, a little something for everyone, really. Couldn't ask for more. And thanks to the die hards who joined the Discord watch party! I know it was a bummer I couldn't really contribute much (Mrs B was in bed with a migraine, and with our walls being fucking papyrus thin I couldn't really join in the chat all that much), but it was fun nonetheless.

Lineal part 2 is now sitting at 30 minutes of completed work! I've finished Randy v Enson, and Randys post-lineal career, Ensons journey to Pride, his first fight as lineal title holder against professional MMA jobber Soichi Nishida, and just wrapped up his loss to Mark Kerr at the Pride Open Weight GP 2000. All of that is about 36 minutes of work.

Its been fun as shit writing and researching Pride again! I've even thrown in a few callbacks to the Pride videos for the true hardcores. I've still got all my old project folders for Pride 1 2 and 3, so I re-used a few graphics and clips and stuff you'll probably recognize. In a way, it feels like coming home. Like putting on a nice housecoat and a comfy ass pair of blood encrusted slippers. The Pride videos are still my favourite of anything ive done, and even though theres a dozen things id change in them if i could right now, they're one of the few things I've made tha t I look back at and think, "yeah, that was actually pretty fucking good".

I'm a bit behind schedule with the video overall though, I kinda lost the entirety of last weekend thanks to 300, and the weekends are when i get the bulk of my work done. So yeah I'm probably about a week behind where id like to be, but its coming along well overall.

Muscle mommy Harrison beating Holly was the best thing that could've happened for that division. No one needs more Holm wall n stall bore fests in their life. To have her get completely obliterated by that muscle tsunami was cathartic after having to sit through all of Holms recent fights.

Is the BMF belt now in danger of becoming legitimized?? The manner of Max's win was such a god damn holy shit moment it'll be on replays for decades to come. And now we have an honest to god lineage for this fucking cartoon belt. I didn't give a crap about the BMF until that fight, now, I'm kinda interested to see where it goes from here..

Speaking of Max, am i wrong in thinking that while both him and Dustin were kinda seen as "those 2 guys Conor beat" for the longest time, they've now both had far more impressive careers than Conor ever did? Like I'd argue what they've done over the last few years is more impressive than Conors double champ win. While he's been snorting and cavorting, they've been building absolutely bulletproof legacies.

Did we learn anything from the Periera fight other than Hill didn't belong in there with him in the first place? I was bummed by that fight from the second it was announced, Hill beat Glover impressively sure, but Glover was already the oldest champion in the company (possibly ever?) at that point. And his best win outside that was what, Johnny Walker? It was a poor fight as a headliner, and Alex did exactly what 99% of us expected him to do. It was great meme material with the Herb Dean wave off and Alex's post fight celebration though, ill give it that.

Xiaonan was unconscious. 100% out. I don't care if even she says she wasn't, there's no way that woman wasn't fast asleep from that choke.  

Poor Garbrandt. Dude cant catch a break.

I bet Dana is thrilled he put that fucking Bo Nickal snoozer on the main card instead of Jiri v Rakic now. Fucks sake.
