Duxdate #3 and John Wick 4

Good evening Ninjas!

I am up to my fucking eyeballs in Ninjas. Every time I turn around, there's a Ninja. I open a book, a Ninja jumps out. I take a shit, there's a ninja in the bowl. This is known as the "Dux effect". Once you start digging into this guys story, its wall to wall fucking ninjas. I mean, did you know there was a clan of Ninjas in the Hollywood Hills and they performed the burial rites for his Ninja Master, Senzo Tanaka? Maybe Ashida Kim's South African Ninja brothel wasn't so far fetched after all.

So progress is being made, slowly but surely. I've just finished the first 10 minutes, and It feels like the ball is well and truly rolling now. It always takes a while to get a video off the ground, the opening couple of minutes always somehow feel like just testing the water, but when you reach the first 10 minute milestone, its like, "okay, yeah, this is a real thing now". In a bizarre coincidence, the week that a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is announced, this videos opening is, weirdly, very MGS focused.

It's kinda hard to know where to start with Dux though, as legitimately every single thing this guy says is horseshit or contradicts something he said earlier. Even just 5 minutes ago while reading his "Untold story of the Ninja" manuscript, (160 pages of absolutely fucking nothing, if youre wondering) he claimed he never so much as shed a tear after losing a Judo tournament where he met Senzo Tanaka, yet in his secret man book, he's blubbing like a baby and ready to quit for good.

Anyway! In other news, I just watched John Wick 4. It was.... kinda bad? Maybe? I love the first movie, it's a certified classic. The second was good, the third was a bloated mess, and I feel like number 4 was Fast & Furious'ing that shit. The lore has gotten to the point where its more front and center than Wick himself and isn't nearly as interesting as the writers seem to think it is. Some of the action was borderline comedic. The pratfall out of a 5th storey window face first onto cement that John just walks off... the "Homer falling down a canyon"-esque scenes of John rolling down the stairs at Sacre Coeur...Mrs. B was fucking howling at that.  It was one step away from strapping him to a rocket and going into space a la Fast 9. Don't get me wrong, the action was top tier and it looked stunning, but this series needs to end now before they really do make Wick in space... actually, scratch that, Wick in space would be mindblowing.
