Slapdate #1!

Okay, so Its finally time for a brief update on the cats/next video!

The video is coming along well. I've completed the intro (3 minutes), and the first segment which focuses on X-Arm (about 15 minutes). One thing I love about researching these subjects is that if you dig deep enough, you come across some of the weirdest shit imaginable. I wont spoil anything yet, as its going into the video, but I stumbled across some shit that almost made me spit out my coffee with laughter this afternoon while trying to find reviews of X-Arm 😆

I don't think this video will take much longer to produce. The next segment will likely cover another failed promotion that again I wont spoil, but will probably run another 10-15 minutes, and after that the bulk of the runtime will be Power Slap focused. Id guess this will probably work out to about 40-45 minutes in total. I should hopefully have a weeks holidays from my 9-5 coming up in mid-April, so once that arrives id say the bulk of it will be spent finishing off this video and it should be good to go by then at the latest!

In some shitty news tho, I was planning on uploading my discussion with Dr. Hilsden about CTE as a patreon bonus for you guys today, but I listened to it for the first time today and the audio from my side is fucked sideways. I'm hoping Rich's recording came out better as he had no problem hearing me when we spoke but my recording of it sounds like I'm not even in the same room as my mic. Thinking about it now, I think my recording software defaulted to recording via my shitty $20 webcams audio rather than my microphone. Oh well. 😕

CAT CHAT!

Biscuit is doing better, and after far too long stuck in the house together we let him out before his 10 day house arrest was up. We trapped the feral cat that was doing all the fighting with him and got him neutered, but he's already been released back into the neighbourhood, so we'll just have to see how it goes. It was a rough few days, including one fun night where I was chasing the feral cat (who we nicknamed Burgerhead) out of our garden at 3am, in the pissing rain, in my Pyjamas.

With some luck we're over the worst of it now, as Biscuits vet bills were larger than Dana's coke habit ALLEGEDLY.

MMA CHAT!

I haven't seen Chito v Sandhagen yet, the crappy thing about working on videos means I don't have a huge amount of time for much else. I fired up that fight this morning, saw it was 5 rounds, and said fuck it and went back to scriptwriting. I heard Holly won another wall n stall borefest? Seems par for the course for Holly. I'm not taking that Ronda headkick away from her, but that was probably the single enjoyable fight she's had in the UFC, unless you count the final round of Holly vs Miesha.

I still haven't fully recovered from the crippling disappointment of UFC 285. Valentina losing and Jones winning was my bingo card of bullshit. I genuinely can't remember the last time I was so incensed by the end of a card. I'm still not sold on Jones at heavyweight if I'm being honest. I'm not sure if Jones really is just that fucking good, or if heavyweight is just ridiculously shallow right now. Gane is a good fighter, but he's not troubling any GOAT lists. And I think Stipe has been out of the game too long, and is too old at this point. If this was prime Stipe, sure. But he's been sitting out a long time and I just think his appointment with father time is past due at this point.

Colby getting a title shot is #1 boolshit, btw. But for the record, I think Colby walks through Edwards. The Usman who fought Edwards last week seemed like a pale imitation of the Usman who fought Colby and Masvidal tho. Hell he seemed like a pale imitation of the Usman who fought Edwards last year.
