RIP my life for the next 10 days
Added 2023-03-19 23:32:58 +0000 UTCSo this was supposed to be my first update on the status of the next video, but unfortunately it's also mostly an update on why I WON'T be getting much work done for the next week or so.
So Biscuit, as you can see, has been to the vets to deal with a gigantic open wound on his left side we only discovered on Friday night. We don't know how it happened, the vet said it was too deep to have been another cat, but regardless of the cause the outcome is several stitches, and an incredibly pissed off cat who we cant let out of our apartment for 10 days. Obviously, having a cat screaming down the house and running wilder than Hulkamania all over our palatial one bedroom apartment,
kinda impacts my ability to write/record and edit. Even writing this post has taken about twice as long as it should have. So I'm afraid the video progress will be slow going until we can put this cat outside again.
The Power Slap video is about 4 minutes in currently, with maybe 10 minutes in total of script written. As always, it isn't just about power slap, its going to cover a couple of other UFC adjacent Failures such as X-Arm. But the bulk of the video will be dunking on power slap. I've already had a pretty cool 40 min chat with Dr. Rich Hilsden of the YT channel Knife Skills to talk about the dangers of slap fighting as opposed to traditional combat sports. I think it went pretty well, so while I'll just be using soundbites from him in the finished video, I'll release the whole conversation as a kind of podcast too.
Excuse me I have to go stop this cat from swinging out of my curtains.

We didnt have to pay, but we did just make a donation to the rescue place. Sadly they already released him and hes skulking around the neighbourhood now... #pray4biscuit

That's awesome you got him neutered, did ya have to pay? There's places here that'll neuter wild cats if you bring them but some that'll still charge you. Hopefully Biscuit stays safe!

Yeah I’m doing x-arm so I’ll make sure to show that 😆 Biscuit is doing better, his battle wounds and bruises are healing up and we actually let him outside. We managed to trap the feral cat that was fighting him and got him neutered, so I’m hoping it’ll stop him from throwing down so hard. Here’s hoping 🤞

There's one I've shown people so many times over the years, it's in a video Chisled Adonis did on xarm at 0:40 into it. Homie gets straight blasted like 8 hard ass times to the dome, it's absolutely batshit.
