Special Winter Update

Hey friends!

Here a special winter update! Not so special for you here on Patreon since you already receive winter updates. But it’s special because this one is also on Youtube! First time we do a public upload in winter!

It felt like a nice moment to reflect on the last 5 years and look what is coming next. Looking forward also comes with challenges. Coincidentally, it is also update #168 which gave a good moment to actually talk about them!

It’s nice to look back and all the work done, seeing gradually a community appearing. Special thanks for you all supporting here. The monthly support is really shaping to become a solid reliable backbone for the project. Plus it’s a great motivation knowing many of you around the world support our mission.

Enjoy the holidays ❤️

Yo balance the residential versus research needs, the team might want to try some scheduled "sprints" two or three weeks of focused activities and projects with some scheduled down times between sprints. There are plenty of agile development tools out there that can help plan and organize sprints of activities.

Let's face it right now: you are deep in the process of developing a place to live. You need "cheap labour" in order to grow at a certain rate and build the structures for later. The sustainabilty in this till now? Re-using material as much as you can. Sustainable living? Not fully outlined (yet). As you often told us: Sustainable living is not living on your own, growing your own food just for yourself. Working with the people around you, neighbors, the City, local conpanies is a strong part of PK. But that is now. What brings the future? You cannot research without a project that needs ot be done. If you have fully developped your infrastructure and built houses for x people/families, there is nothing more to do than maintaining and living. So, in my point of view, you are proceeding to a living-only community but you need a few more years of research and building Projects to achieve that. A combination of both is a must for the next seasons.
