Chewster Sculpture (WIP)

Hey everybody!
Here's my first attempt at a clay sculpture of my land shark character Chewster. I absolutely love this character, and really want to make a toy out of him down the line. I've got to find a tutorial on how to turn a sculpture like this into a mold for making a vinyl statuette. Anybody know where I can find a good tutorial?
This guy ended up being about 3 inches wide, 5 inches long, and 4 inches tall. More pics below!
