Thank you for the super chats that day in Nagano! I got a big basket of apples from a local farmer and the last 3 went into this crisp which Leo and Kanae loved. The pie 🥧 got eaten too fast before I could snap a shot. Some of the world’s best apples are here in Japan but I’m a big biased with my appraisals 😉 don’t ask me for a recipe! It’s oatmeal, flour, sugar, a little vanilla, Melted butter — mixes to make clumps. Half of that goes on the bottom. Then the sliced apples — then the rest of the crumble. Heat for 45 min uncovered at 175C / 350F (I think) and wait 15 min to cool - top with ice cream 🍨 of course!! Post Thanksgiving Dessert complete! Cookies next week, pre Christmas 🎄
