Nagasaki Bombing Episode (Coming Soon)

This episode has been in the works for a while, much requested since Hiroshima gets most of the attention so I visited Nagasaki twice to film this, coordinated with the NPO that works with bombing survivors to share their stories and the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum. I don't think there's anything like this on YouTube and I hope it remains as an educational tool on what happened on the ground in the days that followed. Forgetting history is how it repeats itself. I'm sure I'll get heat from anonymous commenters about Pearl Harbor and they started it ... but this isn't about that. It's about the legacy of Nagasaki and the voice of survivors who are leaving us, no longer able to tell their first hand stories. This is the opening scene. I'm sure the change the narration and some bits of it. The National Archives and Library of Congress has a lot of declassified videos for use to make the testimony come to life so Nagasaki remains the last. place on earth these weapons are used, which is what their greatest hope is. -John
