The Good, the Bad and the Future

Dear Patrons,

Hello! Karan here. Here are the updates I spoke about a couple of days ago:

The Good:
As the image suggests, we have new agents! They're obviously really well connected and we hope to get the ball rolling with them soon.
You already knew about Rob McDermott being our manager - we had him onboard a couple of days before the tour started and his help and guidance has been indispensable.

The Bad:
We've had a pretty rough falling-out with our previous agents. On tour there were several major screw-ups regarding our accommodation and tech-rider. Twice we were left hunting for hotels at 1 in the morning and throughout the tour, we only got to use the mixing board we had initially asked for in our tech rider ONCE (which turned out to be defective , yet they still charged us for it). Moreover, they found ways to put the blame on us when confronted.

The final accounting was a joke too. After selling out so many shows and playing the rest at near-capacity, their accounting claims that we were to get just around EUR 1400 after deducting our guarantees. Although nothing can be done about it now as all of it is cleverly put into stuff like "advertising" and "promotion" by the local promoters, our overall experience with them was pretty bad.

Had we not had your support and merchandise sales, this very well might have been our first and last touring experience.

The Future:
While I'm certain our experience with the new agents will be better, we have learnt our lesson - trust nobody.

Associations with big names changes nothing. The offers and deals we get depend on what we do as a band. If anything, it only raises the bar for us - something we look forward to doing all the time.

Here I'd like to thank all of you for constantly supporting us. I know we havent put out anything for a few months, owing mostly to the tour but I want you to know that content is and will always be our top priority. I've been busy writing and ideating new material while working on the tour documentary simultaneosly. We've already rejected 2 major tour offers for later this year as we want to put more songs and videos out.

Your support is what we need the most right now. In no manner am I asking you to increase your pledge, please dont feel that way. What I do want to ask of you, is to have confidence in us. We should have the tour documentary coming out next month and a new song right after. Things might seem slow but trust me, what we're planning will make you proud :)

Tons of love,
Karan
