Thanks for the advice guys! Here's what's next:
Added 2018-06-12 20:24:46 +0000 UTCA few weeks ago we asked you what you felt about us signing a record deal and laid down the specifics. Needless to say, the consensus was a confident and resounding NO. Not only are we now 110% certain that declining the contract is the right thing to do, we are also overwhelmed. Here's a sincere, heartfelt thank you to everyone who responded with such solid support and got-your-back attitude. One can only expect such things from family, and you guys have made us realize that that's exactly who you are. We love you guys. Bloodywood stays independent. Now, on to the future! With the latest patreon goal achieved, we have finally broken even with ALL studio expenses! HURRAY!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks guys :D There are two things we wanna discuss with you: 1. Management and PR: This is something we have been struggling with since the past two months. Most of our time gets eaten into responding to queries, replying to emails and even though we thought it would eventually slow down, that has not been the case. Don't get us wrong, we love replying to messages and comments and people who reach out to us personally. It's just the "business" side of things that we'd rather let someone else handle because they take up the most time, something we'd rather spend on making music. Hiring an experienced manager in India would cost anything between $1000-2000 per month (depending on weather it's a person or a company) - so we're thinking of placing that as the next goal on Patreon. What do you think? A word about PR: We have heard both good and bad things about PR companies. Some bands swear by them, others have said they could've done without them. Have you had any experience with them/know how they could be especially beneficial to us? 2. THE NEXT VIDEO Recently a friend and musician, Vaibhav Varma, from Delhi's local metal scene committed suicide after battling with depression for more than a decade. Nobody expected this to happen, not even his close band members. That is the nature of this disease, it is a silent killer. In part we feel guilty for not having done anything besides knowing that he was depressed. An actual disease, depression is affecting more than 300 million people globally. It is a gateway to suicidal tendencies, anxiety and many other mental diseases. What makes it worse is that society fails to recognize depression as an actual disease that causes chemical and neurological changes in the brain. Instead, it is confused with bouts of "feeling depressed" which is absolutlely normal and unrelated to depression. Needless to say, our next song is going to be about battling and overcoming depression. However, we want to go beyond making music this time. Here's what we have in mind: How about we purchase a certain number of online professional counselling sessions and give them for free to those amongst our viewers who need someone to talk to (speaking to a professional is literally the best way to fight depression as friends and family mostly do not understand it as a disease)? Online counselling obviously very expensive in the States and EU but in India it's fairly cheap, and because it is text based and the counselors are professionals and speak in English, it can work for anyone, anywhere in the world! We can't do a lot right now, but based on initial research on pricing we could probably help 50 people get at least a few hours worth of therapy. We want to know what you feel about this as a part of your pledge will go into this. Tons of love, Karan and Jayant

Hey guys, loved the latest video and think it's great that you are raising awareness about depression and mental illness through your music. You guys are awesome for doing that. Regarding your question about PR and management, there are 100s of agencies startups in India, but they are expensive. You could approach individuals or consultants who could help you out, though experienced people would cost a bomb I presume. Anyway, I myself have worked in digital marketing and PR for a number of years and consider myself to have a decent grasp of how that machine works. If you guys need some inputs or suggestions in this area, I could help out.

That could cut your cost down significantly. As for needing it at all, you said it yourselves. You spend a lot of time with an online presence, which Im sure we all appreciate, but having someone at least help lighten the load would be good.
