Naruto: Check out these scenes #37

In the Hidden Cloud Village of the Land of Lightning, the Raikage glanced at the time on his wrist. An hour had passed since he had agreed to delay firing the cannon.

After a moment of silent reflection for Naruto and the others, he lifted his head decisively. "Time's up! Fire the chakra cannon!"

However, two seconds later, the chakra remained in its charging state. The Raikage turned to Killer Bee at the console, questions etched on his brow. "What’s going on?"

Killer Bee looked reluctant. "I... can’t shoot at Naruto."

Frustrated, the Raikage reprimanded him, "Don’t let your emotions cloud your judgment. This is a matter of life and death for everyone!"

"Lord Raikage, there are words on the moon!"

His eyebrows shot up in surprise. "What?"

"It's the Nine-Tails! It wrote on the moon!"

Before the Raikage could process this information, his secretary rushed in with breaking news, causing him to halt.

Meanwhile, various nations observed the moon, and the Konoha detectives finally deciphered the message after magnifying it hundreds of times.

"That means..."

Only one word was inscribed—a special signal between ninjas: a sign of mission completion.

"Mission accomplished! Mission accomplished!"

Seeing the moon drifting safely away from Earth, Kakashi sighed in relief. "My hunch turned out to be right..."

On the moon, Kurama folded his arms, an unhappy frown on his face. "You really made me write that? You know I’m terrible at writing."

Naruto, standing beside him, clasped his hands in apology. "Hehe, I’m so sorry, Kurama."

Initially, Shikamaru had planned to use the radio to inform Konoha of their success, but with no connection, they had to rely on the enormous Nine-Tails to scrawl their message directly on the moon surface.

Not long after, Naruto and Hinata guided Toneri to the ancestral homeland of the Otsutsuki clan, arriving at the underground cemetery.

"This... this is..."

Though Toneri could not see the graveyard, his perceptive abilities allowed him to sense the presence of millions of buried Otsutsuki clan members.

Hinata explained softly, "This place is guided by the spirit of Hamura."

As the weight of destruction caused by his lineage settled on him, Toneri finally grasped the truth of Hinata’s words. Overcome with sorrow, he knelt before the spirits.

Later, Naruto’s team returned to Konoha to report. At the underground lake connecting Earth and Moon, Hinata invited Toneri, "Toneri, the people on Earth will welcome you."

He declined politely, "No, I wish to stay on the moon and atone for my sins."

Hinata responded gently, "I hope to see you again on Earth someday."

Toneri promised, "The moon will never threaten the Earth again, I swear it."

After parting with Toneri, Naruto and his team jumped into the lake, preparing to return home.

At that moment, Hinata grasped Naruto’s arm and asked, "Naruto, there’s something I’ve always wanted to know."

"What’s on your mind?"

Gathering her courage, she pressed on, "Who gave you that scarf you’ve been wearing lately?"

Naruto retrieved the cherished scarf from his backpack. "This was knitted by my mother before I was born."

[Kushina: Eh? Didn’t I knit that? How did it end up with Naruto? Old man, explain yourself!]

[Sarutobi Hiruzen: Well... do you believe me if I say I forgot?]

[Kushina: I don’t trust you!]

[Namikaze Minato: Kushina, don’t be rash!]

[Uzumaki Boruto: Uh... grandma is much scarier when she's angry than mom.]

[Uzumaki Himawari: Grandma isn’t angry. ]

[Kushina: Fine, it's okay Himawari, grandma isn't scary~]

Hinata let out a sigh of relief upon learning its origin. "Is that so? I worried for nothing."

Nearby, Hanabi, her eyes restored by Sakura, called out, "Really, how long are we going to chat? We’re leaving first!"

After Hanabi departed, Shikamaru, feeling like a third wheel, added, "Let’s move quickly; the space here is collapsing." He followed Sakura and Sai out.

Naruto took Hinata’s hand. "Let’s go back to Earth together."

Hand in hand, they moved forward, the spheres around them reflecting their past memories.

"Hinata."

"What is it?"

Naruto recalled childhood moments—when Hinata was bullied, he rushed in to defend her, only to receive a beating himself.

"Iruka-sensei once asked us in class who we’d choose to be with if the world were to end."

Back during their Academy days, Naruto was a troublemaker, causing unrest in Konoha, while Hinata remained in the background, anxious about the chaos.

"In my case, I left that blank. I didn’t know my parents or have friends."

During the Chunin Exam, after witnessing Neji severely injure Hinata, Naruto swore vengeance.

"But now, things are different. I want to be with you."

When Pain invaded, Naruto, under immense pressure, was amazed by Hinata's brave confession.

"From now on, we’ll never be apart. Even unto death, I’ll never leave your side!"

Recently, Naruto had come to terms with his feelings for Hinata, rushing to defend her from Toneri.

"Naruto..."

As Naruto spoke, tears welled in Hinata's eyes—finally receiving the affirmation she had yearned for.

As the linked space began to collapse, the spheres disintegrated rapidly, catching up with Naruto and Hinata.

Naruto instinctively cradled Hinata in front of him. "Hinata, hold on tight."

"Got it!"

She wrapped her arms around his neck, pressing close against him, whispering, "I won’t let go!"

Feeling her trust, Naruto held her close, channeling his energy into a Rasengan. Once solidified, he unleashed a beam of light that propelled them forward, cutting through the darkness.

As they raced upward, Naruto kept using this technique, rushing out of the underground lake.

"Careful! Don’t fly too high or you’ll hit something!"

"I won’t hit anything!"

In response to Shikamaru’s warning, Naruto crystallized a large Rasengan and hurled it at the stalactite-laden ceiling.

Boom! The massive Rasengan blasted a hole through the rock, propelling Naruto and Hinata into the sky, landing gracefully beneath the moon.

"Hinata..."

"Naruto..."

They locked eyes, and as Naruto cradled Hinata’s cheek, he leaned in, their lips meeting softly under the serene moonlight.
