Life/Channel Update

Hey y'all, I just posted this via YT community post, but wanted to make sure I sent it out to you directly as well. I hope things are going okay for you all, and I look forward to being more active here with you in a couple of months.

Love,
Lola

Content Warning: Death of a loved one

Hey y’all. Yesterday my mom passed away. She’d been living with terminal illness for some time, but it still somehow feels like a shock.

Knowing this was coming, I’ve been preparing to take a sabbatical for a couple of months. I have a few new videos scheduled, but after that, it will likely be compilations and alternate versions of previously published videos for a while. I shouldn’t be gone for too long—the ten year anniversary of this channel is coming up in September, and of course, I want to be back with you for that.

Thank you in advance to everyone who watches, likes, comments on, or otherwise interacts with my videos during this break. Taking breaks can have consequences for channels, but I’m hoping the scheduled content will help keep me afloat here. Your engagement on those videos helps more than you realize. Thank you!

If anyone would like a direct way to support: PayPal, Throne, and Patreon are all options. Since ASMR is my primary source of income, viewer contributions are super helpful when I’m not able to produce new content for a while. However, please know that I’m not in danger of going hungry or missing rent—I’m just expecting a dip in income during the break, and it’s something I should be able to bounce back from once I’m back for a while. I’ll be okay.❤️

I am not sure to what extent I will keep up with comments, messages, emails, etc., during the break. If you reach out and I don’t respond, please don’t take it personally. I just need some time to focus on resting, grieving, and connecting with my kids and my extended family.

Finally, please know that I’m incredibly grateful to be in this position—I have a job here that allows me to take time away, and it’s also a job I truly look forward to returning to. A lot of people don’t have those luxuries when dealing with major life events, and I’m so thankful. It’s only possible because you’re here and you watch my videos. Thank you.💚

JB, my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. It is something to adjust to, and a terrible adjustment at that. We can never recover from the blow in the same amount of time that we experienced it, so take all the time you need. This is music of comfort that I listen to when I am grieving. The finale of Gustav Mahler's Second Symphony, subtitled "Resurrection". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0Px44IuVKM&pp=ygUcTWFobGVyIHN5bXBob255IDIgbW92ZW1lbnQgNQ%3D%3D
