Naruto: Check out these scenes! #26

They ran without stopping, urgency pushing them onward until the sun peeked over the horizon, casting a soft glow around them. Only then did they stop, collapsing onto their knees, breathless and overwhelmed by what they'd just escaped.

Boruto glanced at the distant Uchiha base, now a smoldering shadow against the morning sky, and wiped the sweat from his brow, a smile breaking through his exhaustion. "We made it… I'm pretty sure we’re in the clear now."

Nanashi, still in disbelief, shook his head slowly, whispering, "I can't believe it... I really... escaped?" His voice trembled with a mixture of relief and confusion.

"Absolutely!" Boruto replied with a firm nod. "You’re free now!"

Nanashi let the weight of those words sink in, his heart racing. "Free...?" He could hardly grasp the reality of it, the dream he'd held onto for so long finally materializing before him.

As the sun rose higher, the gentle hue of dawn flooded the landscape, painting Nanashi's world in brilliant tones of gold. It felt like a new beginning, a moment so beautiful that it brought tears to his eyes.

Then Boruto’s form began to shimmer, flickering as if caught between this world and another. "Haha, looks like I'm disappearing," he chuckled softly, a hint of sadness mingling with amusement.

"Wait! You... you won't go with me?" Nanashi's heart dropped, a wave of panic rising. The thought of being alone again was terrifying.

Boruto sighed, brushing a hand through his hair. "I'm sorry, but I can’t stay for reasons I wish I could explain.” His tone was earnest, almost pained.

"Who... who are you?" Nanashi asked again, desperate to understand the significance of this strange yet profound bond.

"I can't share every detail," Boruto said, his gaze serious. "But what matters is this: I want you to be free." His eyes shone with sincerity.

Nanashi's brow knitted in confusion. "Why would you do this for someone like me?" he asked, feeling small and insignificant, just a mere tool of the Uchiha clan.

"To me, you are not just ‘someone’," Boruto insisted, his expression intense. "You’re a friend. A true friend. And I would do anything to help you, even if it means risking everything." His words hung in the air, heavy with meaning.

For Nanashi, those words were a revelation, crashing over him like a tidal wave of emotion. "But... how can you call me a friend? I... I’m just me." He struggled to comprehend the depth of Boruto's sentiment.

Boruto chuckled softly, his demeanor shifting to one of warmth. "Right now, you might not get it, but it doesn't change the fact that you matter to me," he explained. "So, just know that, no matter where life takes you, I'll always be rooting for you!"

Nanashi’s eyes went wide, clarity breaking through the fog of his doubts. It was like waking from a dream where he was endlessly lost. "You mean… I’m not alone anymore?” he whispered, leaning in closer, as if trying to absorb Boruto’s essence.

With tears welling up, Nanashi leaned against Boruto's chest. "I've always felt so isolated… trapped in darkness, believing no one cared. But you… you’ve chosen to help me,” he stammered, each tear a testament to years of longing for connection. “How did I get so lucky to meet you?"

As Nanashi’s tears fell, Boruto gently patted his back, feeling the tension of years seep away in that moment of shared vulnerability.

Once Nanashi regained composure, he looked up with a radiant smile. "Thank you... for giving me my freedom!"

"Of course!" Boruto replied, his voice full of conviction.

Yet, the moment felt bittersweet as blue particles began to swirl around Boruto, signaling time was slipping away. “No, not now!” he exclaimed, frustration evident in his voice. “I can’t believe it's time to say goodbye!”

"What? No! Please, stay!" Nanashi cried out, gripping Boruto’s arm tightly in desperation. He couldn’t bear the thought of losing the only ally he had.

“Listen!” Boruto said urgently, gripping Nanashi’s shoulders. “You’re not Nanashi anymore!” he declared firmly. “You are Hikari, Uchiha Hikari — it's the name your parents gave you!”

"You have to live! Live freely, under the sun," he added, his voice laced with urgency as he recalled Hikari’s disdain for the painful world of ninjas.

Nanashi, now known as Hikari, tried to process Boruto's words about the ninja world – all he could focus on was the impending loss. “Please, don’t leave me!" he pleaded, panic coating his voice. "I don’t even know your name!”

“It's Uzumaki Boruto!” he boomed, desperation matching hers. "Even when we're apart, you’ll always have a friend in me. You won't ever be alone! I'll always... forever by your side, Hikari!”

“Boruto!” she shouted as she finally grasped his name, but as she spoke, his figure faded, becoming ethereal. “No, please!” she begged, not ready to face the loneliness again.

As he vanished completely, his final echo floated in the air, “Be happy, Hikari!”

Uchiha Hikari knelt, tears streaming, her heart aching. “Boruto!” she called out into the brightening skies, a name etched deep in her soul.

[In that moment, Uzumaki Boruto not only rewrote Hikaru's fate but also transformed her from a tool of the Uchiha to a person deserving of freedom and joy.]

[Though Boruto sacrificed deeply, feeling a void upon waking the next day, what remained was warmth, a flicker of hope igniting in his heart.]

[For Uchiha Hikari, life was a promise fulfilled. Until her last day, she basked in the sunshine, free from pain, nurtured by the light Boruto brought into her life.]

[Thus, the history of Uchiha Hikari was not just rewritten; it was reborn, existing in a realm forged by friendship and miracle of time.]
