AUG 27: Japan Post has updated International Mail 📦
Added 2020-09-01 05:50:45 +0000 UTCAustralia 🇦🇺 🦘 so I can send post cards by — SHIP 🚢 but still no airmail. I’m on the fence about what to do. If you’re an Aussie, would you prefer I hold on to the postcards for airmail or send by ship ASAP. Note: North Korea was accepting airmail and Australia was not until this week 🤦🏻♂️

No, there is no airmail at all. No SAL, Small Packet, EMS, First Class. Only surface. Australia is okay to send it from Oz to JP but not receive it from Japan right now. That’s what I heard. Small Packet rates exist in Japan for parcels under 2kg.
