I want to thank so many people for reaching out and asking questions. I like the live format to do this. If you are available to ask a question, please do. This effects every Patron in a good way and from suggestions and feedback, I'll be able to evolve this so it gets even better.

Whatever it is? It's the new channel :) I do not upload on the WAORYU Only in Japan channel anymore. I have a new channel that started last week. http://youtube.com/johndaub That is all you need to know. You don't have to change anything else :) I hope that helps. I'm a Post Card level supporter on the Only in Japan Go channel do I have to change that too? and personally all the versions of Only in Japan has been an entertaining and great way to learn about Japan and her people as I prepare for next faze in one's life. thanks again John and Kanae

2020-06-05 22:10:20 +0000 UTCJohn...I believe the reason people can't join via YouTube app on Apple is because apple would want thier 30% cut ontop of Google's cut. Apple users should be directed to join via the YouTube webpage (mobile or desktop) and not the YouTube app.

2020-06-05 22:07:39 +0000 UTCHi Patty. You need to go over to YouTube to see the live chat. You won't see it on Patreon. Just click on the stream title or YouTube in the bottom right of the screen, this will open it up in YouTube.

Is it possible to view patreon only videos on youtube instead of patreon app? To note: lately while using youtube app on ipad or iphone, the live chat stalls during your livestreams. It never did this before. And yes, I did figure out the only way to join as a member on youtube is via desktop browser (using apple products). If you're on your phone go to the upper right corner of the page and tap the three horizontal bars. A menu will appear and choose messages. If on your desktop, on the Patreon homepage go to the upper right corner and you will see a message icon. When starting a Patreon message thread with John, always remember to go back to the last message you sent him, don't start a new message. He will be able to see the prior messages he has had with you so he knows what has been said before. On Discord you can tag him with @onlyinjapan but Patreon is the best way as he gets tagged a lot on the Discord. Hope this helps. 😁
