How long after the cherry blossoms? (They were still buds when Sakura was out when I was there last for spring). Thanks!

2020-03-08 09:49:14 +0000 UTCThis is in the fringe - if the situation worsens, the flight may be cancelled. Just too early to tell. We should either see this increase or stabilize in Japan. I’m not sure how this continues. If the flight is canceled, they certainly can’t charge you. Singapore Airlines May also give in IF more people ask for refunds. Don’t give up.

There is a chance 1) they cancel the flight naturally 2) the Japanese government changes policy next week and thus they may refund 3) Travel warning level increases in which they may reconsider. For flight after June - just don’t know! Cruises SHOULD be canceled rest of the year and I don’t know many who will take one for a while, like years which is sad. If you’re traveling now or in the next month, you should be able to get a refund. Booking through a third party and getting the cheapest fare locks you into their clauses. Try to always book directly with the airline and avoid middle people. I learned the hard way 2 years ago booking through Expedia to save $30. Ended up losing when I had to cancel and the airline said “you should have booked with us” 😂 I really did laugh when they said that.

2020-03-08 09:20:42 +0000 UTCVayama Travel and Singapore Airlines will not refund our money. We have tried to refund through PayPal which they refused our request. I guess we are still traveling to Japan weather we want too or not. Sigh..We love japan but the main reason for going was a Cunard Cruise on the Queen Elizabeth Ship (canceled and fully refunded). All itineraries were canceled till Fall 2020 for Asia. Quite frankly, we do not know what to do or where to go. We really would rather be sick at home than a foreign country where I do not speak the language and risk quarantine coming home for 14 days. Any suggestions?
