ANA flights gone wild
Added 2019-11-21 02:11:59 +0000 UTCIs this a bone worth picking? https://twitter.com/onlyinjapantv/status/1197324433171480576?s=21 I’ll see if Twitter helps. Curious if they reply.

They gave you the canned response. Not so great for upcoming Olympics travelers.

2019-11-25 14:44:57 +0000 UTCBest of luck. Japan is a very friendly and hospitality country as a whole, however their business culture is by the book. Even getting a restaurant to make small deviations such as substitutions are difficult. I’ve had horrible customer service from JAL a few years ago when I needed to make a last minute flight change for a medical emergency in the family. Needless to say, they would not budge from their book and said I had to pay a change fee just to change my booking. I ended up buying another ticket from a different carrier for that emergency trip. I hope you can at least get an apology, but I wouldn’t hold my breath for it from a Japanese company.

2019-11-21 11:49:57 +0000 UTCIt sucks but unfortunately, this is a very common trend among airlines now. If you tried doing a twitter exposure thing with a US carrier, they might have threw you something to make you happy. Japanese companies are soooo by the book that I kind of doubt you will get very far.
