It beginss June 1, officially, in the North Atlantic for the USA, although most storms do not come until August. FYI for anybody who cares - tropical storms are the same thing, but named differently in different regions. Hurricanes (Atlantic and US Pacific), Typhoons (western Pacific), and Cyclones (Indian Ocean) are the same thing. Australia just calls them all tropical storms.

We will have 10 days to tour around. I imagine going around the island of Shikoku would be a little less tourist crazy than Hokkaido. We would like to get off the tourist beaten path. What are your thoughts? Thank you!
