And a sample of the water, too. I suspect it's white due to colloidal silica - essentially dissolved volcanic rock. When you said "silicone" I thought you meant, well, silicone rubber (like they use for, say, oven mitts). And I thought it would harden and you'd have to peel it off like those peel-off cosmetic face masks you probably can get at Don Quijote. That's another thing I tell my students - there's a difference between siliCON, siliCA and siliCONE. ^_^

I have to post it here because links don't work on YouTube comments for some reason. <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/24/magazine/icelands-water-cure.html" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/24/magazine/icelands-water-cure.html</a> Since I teach geology I make my students read this, since Iceland is part of the mid-Atlantic Ridge (where the Atlantic is spreading). Apparently the hot thermal pools which are all over Iceland are fairly recent - believe it or not, they were started so that Icelanders could learn to SWIM - apparently there were lots of drownings because people didn't know how to! This is how I found out about the shower wardens, by the way, I'll post a link to THAT video below.
