What can I say, it was amazing! This white sausage with sweet mustard, the heavy bread with cheeses and jams ... it’s a big change to India! The Christmas market food also made me open up a notch on my lengthening belt.

Then there was dinner - like this pork knuckle (Scwainoxen?) and the Munich roast pork I also shared with Kanae — and that potato ball!!! Almost like mochi?!

It’s easy to feel the spirit of Christmas here, loads of friends and families enjoying street food and hot spiced wine from local sellers - beautifully detailed stands, lights, sweet smells of cinnamon, roasted almonds and chestnuts, raisins and cherries. I don’t really want to leave yet but 48 is a good amount of time to absorb the feeling and it’ll stay with me for the rest of the year! It’s Christmas!! Happy Holidays everyone - more from Paris as we board a budget Air France flight to the other side. Kanae’s bag is overweight so don’t charge us Air France! Maybe a little holiday spirit? Kanae can make up for it by being a light ballet dancer!
