Have you seen "Journeys in Japan - Savoring Rural Pleasures: Daigo, Ibaraki" on youtube ? John has been there, and even interviewed the manager/owner. Awesome place though, I'm already planning to go there with the wife.

2018-10-28 15:09:48 +0000 UTCHow did you learn your reporting skills and come to work for NHK? Also, a few days ago I upgraded to the Samurai tier. If I should wish to do a Skype call in, what is the procedure? I didn't find any info here on Patreon regarding that.

2018-10-28 15:09:12 +0000 UTCI am thinking of going to Nokogiriyama for one day trip out of Tokyo. Have you been there? Future Only In Japan episodes might be on nori and anko. Surely those are Only in Japan. You do great work, thank you.

2018-10-28 15:06:13 +0000 UTCHi John I have a few questions (in case I don't make the stream). How do Japanese people deal with the winter? When I went there in winter it's freezing cold outside then when you go inside buildings the heaters are on and the trains (esp Shinkansen) are warm and toasty! You gotta keep removing your coats! How many layers do you wear in winter, what do you wear, and where do you buy your winter clothes? Thanks!

2018-10-28 14:04:56 +0000 UTCHi John, my question is regarding the use of the Suica or Pasmo cards from Tokyo. If topping up the cards outside of Tokyo, example in Osaka, would the top up process be the same, and would it work on any top up machines? Thanks!

2018-10-28 12:18:46 +0000 UTCHi John! My great grandmother walked the Shikoku Pilgrimage twice. I've been thinking about doing it..maybe splitting it in 4 parts because I wouldn't be able to take that much time off at work all at once. Have you ever thought of doing the pilgrimage? Would love to see you visit this area of Japan. Keep up the great work! Thanks!

2018-10-28 09:21:20 +0000 UTCHave you heard of the Kyoto Tachibana High School Band? They marched in the Pasadena Prarade of Roses this year. Not really a tourist attraction but they are an impressive part of Kyoto culture. It would be interesting to hear from the band director.

2018-10-28 07:44:53 +0000 UTCAfter seeing the great ogasawara episode I wanted to know : was there more diving footage that did not make it into the episode? Will it be covered on another one?

2018-10-28 05:52:54 +0000 UTCHello John. After the recent event of someone attempting to use your trademarked logo, and also using the title "only in Japan," I have two related questions: What kinds of methods could you (or any honest YouTube creator) use to prevent your ideas from being stolen or misused? Does taking such countermeasures against theft/misuse have a high cost?
