John, if you haven't done a story about the Hokusei train station hostel above Bakurocho station, please consider it. I am here until 10/24 but returning around mid November. I can suggest a good contact who might be willing to help / appear.

2018-10-18 18:21:36 +0000 UTCEven though I'm going to end up living in the Tokyo area due to various circumstances (i.e. the wife), countryside like this is the biggest reason I decided to move to Japan, I can't get enough of it. Bit of a shame the typical tourist trail sticks to the cities, there is just so much more to Japan (you could say that about a lot of countries and their tourism really).
