What you do feel is the best part of your trip to Singapore? And what is the negative from your trip?

2018-08-26 14:11:29 +0000 UTCHey John, my question for the stream: if you could choose a city/area that is within one of Tokyo's surrounding prefectures to live in - which one would you choose and why ? With the condition that it's no more than 1 hr 15 minutes train ride to central Toyko (my wife's requirement) but has a peaceful Japanese countryside feel to it and/or easy access to mountains (my wish!). Thanks.

2018-08-26 13:47:51 +0000 UTCHi John, I'm on a mission to find a tasty Schnitzel in Frankfurt so I'm not gonna make it ;o). My Question: Have you ever been to the Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan? It says, that this is the oldest Hotel in the world, founded 705. And if you have been, is it worth it?

2018-08-26 10:46:48 +0000 UTCHi John, greetings from Hanover, Germany :) Great to see how much your Patreon community has grown, you really deserve it! I hope you can use the extra income to reduce your personal workload as you already suggested on the latest streams! I will be in Japan for my 4th time starting September 11th. Staying in Tokyo for about 2 weeks and then going to Yamagata, including a night at a Ryokan in Zao Onsen before continuing to Hakodate and Sapporo. Do you have any suggestions for the Yamagata area or other places in Tohoku or Hokkaido that are especially worth seeing towards the end of September?

2018-08-25 22:14:11 +0000 UTCHi John! We are in Tokyo until Wed. Thinking of doing a daytrip. We have been to Kamakura, Yanaka Ginza, Nikko, Mt. Fuji, Hakone. How about Kawagoe? It seems like an interesting place to visit. Thank you so much!

2018-08-25 21:35:26 +0000 UTCIn Hawaii, we're still feeling the what's left of Hurricane Lane. During the event we were updated from the local news, which services will stop (and resume) running and when. It got me thinking about my upcoming trip to Japan in September (peak typhoon season). I pray it does not happen, but should a natural disaster occur, what resources could foreigners turn to stay informed of trains/buses that will stop running, services that will be closed, etc? Would Google Maps be updated if public transportation stops running during emergency situations?
