What makes you think all city cops are trained to disarm people with knives? In fact, try this with a friend. Have your friend not use his legs and to hold a sharpie marker (to simulate a knife). Then try wrestling the sharpie out of his hands and see how many sharpie marks you end up getting before you knock it out of his hand. Stab wounds are often times fatal. That's why there's a popular saying- in a knife fight the loser dies at the spot and winner dies on the way to the hospital. Also watch that one demonstration video of Tim Kennedy wrestling a dummy knife out of his opponents hands. A professional UFC fighter, Special Forces, and an absolute fitness king struggles entirely with that ordeal.
