Yea exactly you CHOSE to manage, you’re getting paid accordingly to deal with the situation when workers can’t make it to work. It always comes off as lazy to me when managers expect workers to find someone to cover for them. Like that’s literally YOUR job.

I hated my first job(s) and I think it's cuz it kinda just upset me. (if u want a gen z pov) cuz all the managers I've had starting at 15 always picked favorites. Bro id be vaping (yes u can laugh I vape) and the manager was on my ass and yes I understand why but the bitch I went to school with was workin with me and omg that bitch was smoking it up in the bathroom with the manager an old little Asian dude and I was like "this bitch". then I looked around and every other employee had a little deal with that man or they hated his guts. I had to stop working when I turned 18 cuz it would just get me really sad cuz every place I worked at had a similar situation like that. Just blunt-ass favoritism. I think ppl my age just hate seeing shady shit happen then nothing gets done. At least in the jobs, I've worked in the past 3 years. Ahhhhh who knows maybe we are just lazy.

As a manager, I get that dudes feelings but ummmm, I do the joe approach. The company we work for doesn’t pay my little dudes enough. As long as I get some times notice and if they are able to help me find their own coverage that’s fine. At least I get some respect. I’ll be frustrated as hell but I’ll get the job done. I chose to manage anyway but fucking hell it’s stressful 😭
