Damn that really sucks to hear my condolences to the family. One of my friends almost drowned in the Lake Tahoe water. He was wearing water shoes and got him tired so 3 of us were trying to keep him above water until we got back to shore and we were trying to swim from one shore to the other. I would hold my breath and go under water to push him up while me 2 other friends held him up and pulled him. Eventually told him just lay on your back and take a deep breath of air so he could float a little better, finally made it to shore and we scolded him saying “ never wear those shoes to swim again dumbass” we laughed rested and rejoined our other friends on shore.
