There are plenty of examples of black teens being tried as adults for less malicious things but I can't say which states they're all in for precidence. So I'm no leagal expert so feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but to me everything Joe mentioned does make sense as factors. The part this seems to leave out is that there was enough evidence to make an arrest in the first place so the bond still seems off. Even if the family confronted him If no body saw him do it the cops can probably only hold him for 24-48 hours which wouldn't require a bond at. Since it does it implies they found enough to say "yeah, he probably did it". The part that makes it worse is that I'm assuming all of this happened and they specifically mentioned he was getting ready to run, and they still let him go SMDH.
