2021-11-06 01:41:19 +0000 UTCApparently the paralympic who killed his girlfriend lied about the intruder thing because the story he told didn't match up to multiple witness accounts and the autopsy. He didn't double check where his girlfriend was or if the person in the bathroom could've been her (if your partner was sleeping next to you and suddenly they weren't there in the middle of the night, I don't know if my first thought would've been "there's an intruder in the bathroom, let me shoot 4 rounds immediately."). He also didn't call 9-11 right away for some reason. Fun fact, one of the prosecutors was taken off the case for unrelated murder charges, but there were still things against Oscar that didn't make his case look good. E.g They said the bullets were shot from a higher angle, which means he probably has his prosthetics on. There was also a pause between the shots, so instead of 4 rapid shots it was more like *bang!..... bangbangbang!" which people found weird. The defense was pretty much: look at this poor, disabled defenseless man :(.
