The gel could be warm depending on the clinic. All my ultrasounds for my pregnancies have been cold cuz my OB place don't keep it warm. The one time I felt the warm kind was when they sent me out to a specialist for something. That other place kept theirs warm.

ultrasound student tech here, the gel is warm! It only gets cold when we have to bring out a new gel pack, we always have the gel in a warmer
