Also, the line of succession means that for Andrew to inherit, his older siblings, their children and their children's children, would all need to die as the Crown is passed down from eldest child to eldest child. So after the Queen it is Charles, then William, then his oldest son George.

2021-05-29 10:26:11 +0000 UTCThe amount of taxpayer money spent on the Royals is a fraction of what they bring in as a tourist attraction, it's not even close. Also the majority of their money is inherited so if the monarchy was disbanded they would still be one of the richest families in the world (with all the influence and power that brings) but there would be no more tourism bucks. The luckiest members of the family are the ones who have the money and influence but are distant enough from the throne that they are not under a magnifying glass.
