question: if Doge is a copy of bitcoin, doesn't that mean that anyone can copy bitcoin? Meaning, it's really the next step into blockchain that will really be the innovator. I have a small amount of crypto but when I look at the bigger bigger picture, I don't see how any coin can make it in the long haul. In 30 years, will we really be using bitcoin as our daily currency? I see crypto as a way of riding the rocket to the moon, but knowing that I have to get off at the right moment or I will end up crashing and burning.

i think elon is just trying to shock the market to let people be aware that bitcoin mining is a 500 terawatt a year endeavor and most of it is still power by fossil fuel sorry steve but it true research farm outside the states. so maybe elon just want bitcoin miners to use solar only. for reference the total yearly consumption of power in the USA is 3600 terawatts a year so you can see the concern of elon. cause bitcoin or crypto in general is just beginning its already using so much power. but if you lose money cause of this please don't invest your not ready yet grow some balls first.

Imagine one day bitcoin just disappears. Nobody knows who created it or who to target if shxt went sideways

What's going to happen if the US follows China's lead and "bans" or heavily taxes the conversion of crypto to US dollars? You might own 1 billion dollars worth or crypto, but if you can't convert it to buy things in your country, what's the point of having it? Countries don't want to lose the monopoly they have in issuing money, so its not that improbable that they'll eventually issue "official" cryptos that's basically just the digital version of their currency and ban the "unofficial" ones that are just issued by random people.
