Eva Mendes Offends Parents Who Spank Their Kids (ft. Kelly Mi Li)

Here in Sweden, spanking and hitting children is not socially acceptable at all and has been explicitly illegal since the 1970s.

I love how the pro-spank side is, "this is what happened in my very personal life so it should apply to everyone else. I turned out well so I don't see how it shouldn't work on everyone else because everyone is like me." I mean were they answering is spanking good for THEM or is spanking good/bad in general?

This reminds me of a TikTok from Noel Miller that was a joke about getting beat by your parents. People in the comments were unironically saying things like, "my parents hit me over the head with a chair and gave me a concussion, but that's not abuse." And people would reply to them like, "buddy..."

I wouldn't say I will not spank my kids. But there are other teaching methods. My best method is to take away something they love and/or love to do. For example, they love ice cream, I buy ice cream and eat in front of them. Take them to Chuckie Cheese and park there let them look at those kids have fun for 10 minutes then drive home, or simply take away their devices. Give them things they love and take away.

I'm from the Netherlands, 46 now. We don't spank our children here. I'm not saying I will never spank my kids, I would, for instance if they would hit their mum. But that will never happen, because I raised them right. Also, nowadays it is so easy to discipline your kids. This is my system: - Do x, otherwise I take away your phone for y amount of time. Just make sure to follow through, be fair and be consistent.

Ehh arent we all playing pretend. We could be anyone. They just get paid more. It's definitely an art form. Making a story come to life.
