The story behind 12 for a dozen was so that its easier to break apart. There's more factors of 12 than the other smaller numbers. This could potentially be a reason why its split up like that. For example, its easier to do quarters of 12 than to do quarters of 10. Even halves and thirds are easy with 12.

i cracked up so fuckin hard when joe said "Dolemites and shit"

you see all the time related shit, something is clearly going on with our time lol theres a damn movie with loki about time

Sooooo from what I know, 12 has a significance because that’s how many times the moon goes through it’s cycle in a year, which they could measure from the stars and so on, 12 times 30 (average moon cycle) is 360 which is also where we get degrees, Mesopotamians and some other cultures have had their numbers based on 60 instead of 10. They counted the amount of finger bones in one hand with their thumb, and when they reached 12, their other hand’s finger would count along until you did it 5 times, which is 60. I’m assuming the 24 hour thing is because of the fact that in some parts of the world, the day is about 50/50 night and day, so putting the significant 12 on both made sense. So with this, 360, 180, 60, 30 and 12 became special numbers that just kinda stuck with our time measurement and degrees :))

The close up on Dante with the Zuko image and Avatar music was aaah great

Reminds me of a movie on Netflix where a group of people get trapped in a cave, and discover that time moves a lot faster inside the cave. Apparently each second inside the cave is one year.

They're gonna leave with powers...
