I don't get why people take weddings so seriously. You can still celebrate the love but no need to be anal about it. It's not a big deal. Your life wouldn't change if you just signed the papers. The only people the really should be celebrating your love is the two main characters. The one's who understand all the shit you sacrificed for each other and the amount of work it took to get to marriage. As long as you both know you love each other, that's all that matters. People that take shit too seriously in life are crazy in my books. Don't give me this sanctity of marriage bs either, divorce rate is up the wazoo. This is just an agreement on what to share with each other. Stop being anal.

i wouldnt be down to agree to that. every event has its own purpose and deserves its moment. if its someones birthday, you celebrate that person. if its someones graduation, you celebrate that person. if its a couples wedding you celebrate the couple. why doesnt the guy proposing feel the need to create his own special moment with the woman he loves. why does he think a wedding is the right moment?

i'd be cool with it, but lets say it was my husbands brother proposing to his girlfriend, it would just suck for his girlfriend's family and friends to not be able to witness the proposal. cause i aint fucking inviting them LOL
