Commercial Showing Lactating Breasts Airs During Golden Globes (ft. Bobbi Dean)

Excuse the weird audio during the media clip, we got copyrighted on the first version of this video, even though its unlisted on YouTube LOL

(the visuals are more relevant than the audio anyway)

Commercial Showing Lactating Breasts Airs During Golden Globes (ft. Bobbi Dean)

Since JK is pro free the nipple, everyone should do a topless episode!

I love boobs. Thinking I was going to see celeb boobs, i was a little excited. Not anymore after watching that video.

That little moment between Joe and Steve after Casey said he'd like to wear fake lactating breasts is why I keep coming back 🤣

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THAT COMMERCIAL. I’m currently pregnant with my 3rd baby and I’m so happy that they are trying to ā€œnormalizeā€ Something that’s so normal and so real. It’s actually ridiculous to think of breastfeeding as taboo. Nurturing is taboo now a days lol. Let’s bring normal back. Boobs are not just sexual objects. It’s the best way a mom and their babies can bond and it’s a way we feed them. There should be no shame in doing so.

There is a difference between real life and a commercial. Nobody is saying that these women should feel any shame for something natural but why does it need to be shown in an ad

Guys not getting the entire point of the commercial: BUT WHY DID THEY HAVE TO SHOW IT?!?!?!? WHAT ABOUT IF I WANT TO SHOW MY PENIS!??!?

You do realize most of the pushback comes from white Christian conservative women right?

I agree with you 100%. But you also have to realize it’s not a crime to stare at people and sexualize breast feeding simply for the fact that there is a breast there. Like it was mentioned, you’d have to get everyone on board and that’s never going to happen. To be sure, this is another topic entirely from the ā€œFree the nippleā€ crowd who really just seem to want to expose themselves. How crazy would it sound if we wanted to ā€œFree the penisā€? Again I agree with the whole ā€œlet them breast feed where it’s practicalā€ mentality but that’s a nurturing action vs just wanting to walk around with your tits out.

I’m a breastfeeding mom currently and the struggle is real, no sleep, constant breastfeeding, you’re always tired. It’s great to have this commercial and let people know how hard it is so they can be a little kind to moms each day. People don’t get how covering up is so tiring, and it gets really hot and so does the baby, and there isn’t enough private areas for moms to sit and breastfeed and yet we are always expected to go hide like we are doing something wrong.

Not oggling is good, but when we say, "it didn't have to show the breast," that takes away from the point of the message and why they showed breast in the first place. You can't have people saying to desexualize breastfeeding while having another group of people that are implying to keep it hidden or even saying that it doesn't have to be shown (how can you desexualize something if you can't show it or you tell people "well you didn't HAVE to show it"). Even when the intent was meant to be supportive, it can still come off as dismissive. TL;DR no it wouldn't because people wouldn't get the true point of the commercial. Maybe there's a way they could've implied it with words, but that's a lot less impactful than just showing it.

To anyone who says but why do we have to see it, is either a man or not a mother. As a new mom this was super real and relatable and almost brought me to tears (it’s the hormones). The fact that the full breast is shown removes the shame that many mothers feel when struggling to breast feed and the mindset of ā€œwhy do we have to see itā€ is the exact mindset that made me so shameful of breastfeeding/pumping in front of my husband in the beginning, until I realized what I was doing. I was hiding to feed our son, that is wrong and the fact that we live in a country that makes women feel like they have to hide to feed their children is wrong.

Exactly. Like I get they struggle during breastfeeding but why do we all need to see it? We are doing unnecessary things just to label it progressive. Yes you and I might be mature enough to know that breast aren’t just for sex but who is to say that we are all on the same page. They think they are so woke but I doubt they’d want their mom with her tits out for everyone to see. There’s kids and even adults who aren’t mature enough to make that connection so why try to push something that isn’t even necessary. We are oversharing and jamming our progressive views down everyone’s throats and it’s just weird. I know for a fact that anyone that’s been with a mother breastfeeding on a bus or anywhere public has been uncomfortable not because it’s wrong but because it isn’t natural. Yes it’s natural to breastfeed no one is arguing with that or dumb enough to deny that but just because it’s natural do we need to change our society because you’re selfish and don’t care about how anyone around you feels. Plus that’s just how our western culture is set up and there’s people who are actively trying to dismantle that. There’s lot of cultures that have full nudity but it’s because everyone involved is participating, we can’t have that type of setup without everyone being on the same page and you can’t force that if it’s been a certain way for hundreds of years. And don’t try to compare this to other examples where change was absolutely necessary. I doubt that anyone on this show would want their nude body for everyone to see (except joe and Bart) and I’m pretty sure tiff has stated that, hence why she doesn’t have an onlyfans. You can’t have it both ways and say breast aren’t sexual when there’s hundreds of women on onlyfans profiting off of literally sexualizing them and their rest of their body. Maybe this is just a unpopular opinion but there’s definitely validity in my viewpoints. There’s a reason why there’s nudist communities, if you want to feel natural and free and be surrounded by accepting and likeminded people there’s a place for that.

Truthfully the ad could've had the same impact without showing the full breast in the ad. It is natural but even if a relative is breast feeding im going to give them privacy

Everything is so closed minded & taboo cuz there are still incel dumbasses out there

I kind of feel like one thing that separates humans from animals is modesty. Animals don’t care what you see or when they do what it is that shouldn’t be seen. Animals also don’t ask permission to do things to other animals. As much as we want to destigmatize things we are at the same time oversexualizing women (think the Only Fans explosion). You can’t have both. To me a tit is a tit and I’m gonna look no matter what. Pissing in public as a man can make you a registered sexual offender even though pissing isn’t overtly sexual. Pissing and breast feeding are both natural functions. So if we blow the ceiling off of one set of standards, why stop there.

This was such an eye-opening episode. Shoutout to Moms!

To my maturing 18 almost 19 year old brain there was nothing wrong with this ad, even though I seen boobs (yay) it didn’t at all take away from the message of the ad which shows what most mothers go through but in a much more real context and mood type setting
